Being a professional dog groomer is a great career choice if you have a dog or would just love working with dogs for a career or if you are just wanting to earn a little bit of extra cash.

We provide a short but condensed teaching course on all aspects of dog grooming within a professional working environment. You’ll be guided by industry professional groomers who will pass on their years of experience and working practice in a relevant informative program with teaching groups with no more than two students at a time, giving you quality hands on learning time.

Groom Your Own Dog Course
This fun course is an introduction to the whole of the industry of dog grooming and is aimed towards people who would like to learn to groom their own dog, family dog or friends dogs.

About Us
Hi my name is Nicola Owen and I am the founder of Leeds Dog Grooming Academy.
I have been in the dog grooming industry for over three decades and in that time I have worked at numerous grooming salons in the Yorkshire area and also tutored dog grooming course’s at Barnsley college in the late 90’s. I now own and run a dog grooming salon in Leeds employing three groomers all of which I have trained over the last eight years,
I have now decided to help pass on my skills and knowledge to anyone who is keen to be involved in this unique expanding industry.
